The purpose of the Steering Committee is to obtain the interests of the communities that will be affected by the design of the I-5 / SR-56 Interchange Project. The communities that will be affected by the project are Carmel Valley, Del Mar Mesa, Torrey Hills, Torrey Pines and. Representatives from each community planning group along with representatives from the City of San Diego, Caltrans, SANDAG and the project team meet on a periodic basis to discuss the progress of the I-5 / SR-56 Interchange Project and to also obtain feedback from the community. Persons interested in attending these meetings or who have topics they would like to have discussed should contact their local community representative.
