Creative Communities San Diego (CCSD)

The City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture's Creative Communities San Diego program (CCSD) administers funding provided by San Diego's hotel/motel room tax (Transient Occupancy Tax or TOT) to nearly 50 nonprofit organizations for reimbursement of expenses for projects that support the goals of the commission. Eligible projects increase opportunities for San Diego residents and visitors to create, learn about, enjoy and participate in arts and culture. These projects enrich the lives of the people of San Diego and build healthy, vital neighborhoods. CCSD projects include, but are not limited to, annual celebrations that attract tourists to San Diego for example, festivals and parades, public art, "happenings", and a broad range of other activities and events that enable diverse populations to engage in quality arts and culture experiences together.
