Matthew E. Helm, MA
Deputy City Auditor
Matt joined the City Auditor's office in October 2011. He spent nine years as a Senior Analyst and Special Assistant to the Comptroller General at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where he oversaw a portfolio of work relating to trade policy, government finance, and international affairs. More recently, he served as the Manager for Research and Analysis at the Peter G. Peterson Foundation in NY working on fiscal sustainability, tax, and health care issues.
Matt holds a BA in Economics and English Literature from Cornell College, and an MA in International Trade and Finance from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
