The next meeting of the Managed Competition Independent Review Board will be held Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the 7th Floor Conference Room of the City Administration Building, 202 “C” Street.

Background

Charter Section 117(c) (PDF: 68K) provides for managed competition in the provision of City services to the public. As part of the managed competition process, the Charter requires a seven-member Managed Competition Independent Review Board (MCIRB) be established to advise the City Manager whether a City department’s proposal or an independent contractor's proposal will provide the services to the City most economically and efficiently while maintaining service quality and protecting the public interest.
