25th Street Renaissance Street Enhancement
The City of San Diego and the Greater Golden Hill Community Development Corporation (GGHCDC) are undertaking the 25th Street Renaissance Project to develop a plan that will enhance the street and sidewalks along 25th Street between F Street and Russ Boulevard.
The project will be completed over the next 24 months starting this month with Phase I which includes public outreach and the development of the Streetscape Master Plan of 25th Street.
The Master Plan design will include improvements to the walkability of the 25th Street corridor. The related design elements will address the distinct character of this community focusing on enhancements to street circulation, sidewalks, intersection crossings, bike facilities, landscape enhancements, street trees, lighting, and other amentias within the City right-of-way. The Master Plan will be completed at the end of the year and will be followed by the design development phase early next year.
There will be several public outreach efforts over the next several months which will give the public an opportunity to provide input on the design elements and character of the street. There will be two Visioning Workshops in the coming weeks at the Golden Hill Recreation Center from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the first Visioning Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th and the second Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 20th.
There are several community advisory group meetings that will be held through Phase I of the project design.
Funding for this project is made possible by a Pilot Smart Growth Incentive Program Grant.
Currently, the project is in the $2,200,000 to $2,450,000 range. The City has requested an additional $700,000 of Transnet funds in fiscal year 2012, giving the project a total appropriation of $2,388,000.
The Pilot Smart Growth Incentive Program grant: $1,425,000 Pilot Smart Growth TEA is administered through SANDAG. The Greater Golden Hill CDC was the original applicant and is the recommended recipient of the grant. Mejoría del Renacimiento de 25th Street
La Ciudad de San Diego y la Corporación de Desarrollo Comunitario de Greater Golden Hill (GGHCDC) están llevando acabo el Proyecto de Renacimiento de 25th Street para desarrollar un plan que mejorara la calle y banquetas por 25 th Street entre F Street y Russ Boulevard.
El proyecto se completara en los próximos 24 meses empezando este mes con Fase I que incluye esfuerzos para alcanzar el público e informarlos y el desarrollo de un Plan Maestro de Paisaje Urbano de 25th Street.
El diseño del Plan Maestro incluirá mejoramientos al poder caminar por el corredor de 25 th Street. Los elementos de diseño relacionados responderán al carácter distinto de esta comunidad enfocándose en mejoramientos a la circulación de la calle, banquetas, cruces de intersecciones, instalaciones para bicicletas, paisajes, árboles, iluminación, y otras amenidades dentro el derecho de paso de la Ciudad. El Plan Maestro se completara al fin de año y la fase del desarrollo del diseño seguirá a principios del próximo año.
Habrá varios esfuerzos comunitarios los próximos meses que les proporcionara al publico la oportunidad de dar su opinión acerca de los elementos de diseño y el carácter de la calle. Habrá dos Talleres de Visión en las próximas semanas en el Centro Recreativo de Golden Hill de 10:00 am a 2:00 pm, el primer Taller de Visión esta programado para el sábado 16 de octubre y el segundo taller esta programado para el sábado 20 de noviembre.
Hay varias juntas del comité asesor comunitario que están programadas durante Fase I del proyecto de diseño.
Financiamiento para este proyecto es posible por un a beca a través del Programa de Pilot Smart Growth Incentive.
Actualmente, el proyecto esta entre $2,200,000 to $2,450,000. La Ciudad ha pedido $700,000 adicionales de fondos Transnet en el año fiscal de 2012, asignándole al proyecto un total de $2,388,000.
