Tubman Charter School Joint Use Improvements Project
**The Tubman Charter School Joint Use Improvements Project proposed General Development Plan will be presented to the Design Review Committee on November 13, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Santa Fe Room of the Balboa Park Club, located at the at 2150 Pan American Road West, San Diego, CA 92101**
This project provides for design and construction of approximately 1.2 acres of joint-use facilities at Tubman Charter School to supplement existing park acreage in the College Area community. Improvements will include turf multi-purpose fields, multi-purpose hard courts, walkways, landscaping, and accessibility upgrades.
General Development Plan – (GDP) was initiated on January 2013. Design will be initiated on January 2014. Construction is dependent on when all the funding is received from developer contributions.
This project will contribute to satisfying population-based park acreage requirements set forth in the General Plan to serve residents in this park-deficient community.
Total project cost will be $2.3 million, of which $490,000 is from Development Impact Fees and $1,430,000 from Developer contributions that are anticipated to be allocated to this project, upon Developer permit issuance.
