Tecolote Canyon Citizen Advisory Board
Duties
Develop a master plan for optimum use, preservation and maintenance of Tecolote Canyon. Members shall advise and assist City Council, Planning Commission, Planning Department, City Manager, and other governmental agencies as may be appropriate in preparation, adoption of, implementation of or amendment to planning of Tecolote Canyon. Shall investigate and implement specific goals, standards, and recommendations shall provide for short and long term guidelines for maximum beneficial use of Tecolote Canyon. Committee shall be temporary in nature and shall be dissolved upon completion of objectives set forth in Rules and Bylaws.
Appointment
Nine (9) members are appointed by the Mayor and Council.
Term
Indefinite, with future vacancies within the nine members appointed by Mayor an individual Council members to be filled by Mayor and individual Council members without necessity of future Council action, and with future vacancies within the twelve members chosen within the six election districts to be filled by remaining members of the Committee with such appointees to be from the election district in which vacancies occur.
Composition
Composed of twenty-one (21) members. The City appoints nine (9) representatives, each one being appointed by one Councilmember. Twelve (12) are elected within the six (6) subdistricts of the City of San Diego.
