Mayoral Artifacts
Artifacts are items given to the City by representatives of foreign or domestic governments, business leaders, Sister Cities and their affiliates, private citizens, organizations or other parties, intending to express appreciation or foster diplomatic exchange and goodwill and/or to symbolize a significant event or relationship and accepted by the Mayor or Council President on behalf of the City.
These gifts are processed, labeled, catalogued, photographed and entered into an artifacts database. Historical items may be viewed via the Artifacts Gallery.
