Records Disposition Schedules

Records Disposition Schedules provide detailed descriptions of all records produced or maintained by the City and identify which records are authorized for Records Center storage. The Records Disposition Schedule prescribes the length of time records must be kept and allows for the legal destruction of records that no longer have significant value. The City Clerks office was responsible for the adoption of the General Records Disposition Schedule in 2003, which lists the records that are common to most city departments. All Records Disposition Schedules are updated on an on-going basis to reflect the changes in City government and/or changes in technology.
