Report code violations to the Neighborhood Code Compliance Department (NCCD) of the City of San Diego (619) 236-5500. If NCCD is unable to gain voluntary compliance in a timely manner, the case will be referred to the City Attorney's Code Enforcement Unit for prosecution. Criminal cases filed carry a maximum penalty of $1,000 fine and/or 6 months in jail. In civil cases, CEU prosecutors may seek penalties of up to $2,500 per day for each Municipal Code violation. If there are violations of the Business and Professional Code, our prosecutors seek higher fines.
Reporting Public Nuisance Activity in Your Neighborhood
Report public nuisance activity in your neighborhood to the San Diego Police Department (619) 531-2000. You are also encouraged to contact local community service officers or attend community meetings to report nuisance activity.
