David Greenberg, Assistant City Attorney

David Greenberg is a career prosecutor who served as a Deputy District Attorney in San Diego County for the last 22 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles in 1982 and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego Law School in 1985. During his career, he has successfully handled and tried to a jury serious felony cases, including murders with special circumstances and sexual assault cases. He has served in positions of leadership in the San Diego District Attorney's Office for the last 11 years including as Chief of the South Bay, East County, and North County Judicial Branches. As Chief of all three major branches, he was in charge of the prosecution of thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases handled in each of those branches. In his last assignment, he served as the Chief of the Pretrial and Disposition Division. Mr. Greenberg helped develop and implement a new Case Management System for the District Attorney's Office that efficiently tracks, organizes and obtains accurate statistical information that serves to bolster public safety in San Diego County.

Mr. Greenberg is married with three daughters.
