New and Improved MTS Service for University City

MTS is improving service to University City. Effective June 11, route 30 has replaced route 34 between University City and Pacific Beach. Route 30 operates 7 days/week between downtown and University City, via Interstate 5, Grand Ave., La Jolla Blvd., La Jolla Shores Dr., UCSD, and the V.A. Hospital. Frequency is 15 minutes for most of the weekday, and 30 minutes during nights and weekends. New stop added at Old Town Transit Center for trolley and bus connections. Effective September 2006, MTS will introduce routes 48/49. The line, which will be called "The Circulator," will run on Nobel, along I-5, through UCSD and south again along Towne Centre Drive. It will run every 30 minutes from 5:30am to 10:15pm, seven days a week. Service should begin this summer.
