La Jolla Shores Restroom
Being one of the busiest beaches in San Diego, La Jolla Shores needed a new public restroom that would adequately serve the thousands of families, surfers and scuba divers who visit La Jolla Shores each year.
Funded by the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), Coastal Infrastructure funds, Park Development Impact Fees, as well as generous donations by businesses and individuals in the La Jolla Community, this $593,000 project includes nine (9) unisex rooms, two (2) wheelchair accessible family rooms, including diaper changing stations, accompanying sinks and electric hand dryers, and two (2) drinking fountains. There is also a shower wall with five (5) shower heads. The project is complete with new surrounding landscaping.
