PQ Skate Park Completed
On Saturday, April 22, professional skateboarder Willy Santos needed no scissors to cut ribbon during the Rancho Peñasquitos Skate Park ceremony. He rode through on his skateboard, while Councilman Scott Peters and Mayor Murphy proudly announced the skate parks grand opening.
"This skate park has been one of my top priorities for this community. Skateboarding is a popular sport among PQ teens and this new skate park will provide for a supervised location for skateboarders," Councilman Peters said.
Located between Carmel Mountain Road and State Route 56, along MTS bus route 20, the Rancho Peñasquitos Skate Park is the only skate park within the northern San Diego city limits.
