Is there a proposal for a Home Depot in Sorrento Valley?

No formal submittal has been made to the City of San Diego for a Home Depot at this site. The Home Depot has made an initial inquiry with the City's Development Services Department as to what constraints exist on the land in question, and what type of permits would be required for any potential project in the future.

Home Depot also appeared before the Torrey Pines Planning Group in January to discuss with them the potential for a store at this site. The Planning Group provided representatives of Home Depot with input on their proposal.

Home Depot has submitted no plans and acquired no property at the site. City staff has indicated that any proposal would require a process 5 discretionary review, which means that it would need to be approved by the City Council.

Although there is no current proposal on the table, we will continue to monitor the issue.
