Final EIS For Possible MV-22 Osprey Stationing at MCAS Miramar
The Navy has completed its Final Environmental Impact Statement for the West Coast Basing of the MV-22 "Osprey" aircraft. The document is available for public review at: http://www.mv22eiswest.net/
In late November 2009, the U.S. Navy is expected to decide where the MV-22 “Osprey” aircraft will be based on the West Coast. They are considering basing some or all of the aircraft at MCAS Miramar. When making the decision, part of what the Navy takes into consideration are the results of an environmental study called an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and the comments they received from the public.
A hard copy of the Final EIS is available at the San Diego Public Library, Mira Mesa Branch, 8405 New Salem Street, 92126.
