Michelle Strauss - Director of Legislative Affairs

Michelle serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs. She is responsible for setting the agenda for the City Council on Council President Peters' behalf. She also staffs the Council President and Committee members at the Rules Committee meetings. She is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the District One staff analysis and preparation of items on the City Council docket. In addition, she handles several major policy areas including redevelopment and downtown issues. Michelle has been with District One since 2001. Before joining Councilman Peters' staff, Michelle was Public Relations Manager for the San Diego County Apartment Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Arizona.
