Photo of Mission Hills Sculpture

Located in the hills above Old Town, Mission Hills is a neighborhood of stately craftsman homes. Many of the community's homes date back to the early twentieth century and are carefully preserved as some of the most unique and beautiful in the city. Kate Sessions, planner of Balboa Park, started the Mission Hills Nursery a century ago, and it is still the center of the neighborhood, where interesting shops and cafes make it an ideal residential community.
