Aimee Faucett oversees day-to-day operations for Kevin. She is responsible for community representation, policy, communications, office management and legislative relations.
Prior to joining the Second District office in 2009, she served as Chief of Staff and Council Representative to two former San Diego City Councilmembers. She also worked for the American Red Cross in the Disaster Services Department, was an assistant to the State Lead Fundraiser and worked on numerous political campaigns. She is a graduate of San Diego State University and holds a bachelor's degree in Public Administration. In 2004, she was selected by San Diego Metropolitan for "Forty Under Forty Honor Role."

Tony Manolatos

Tony Manolatos directs internal and external communications for Kevin.
Prior to joining the Second District office in 2009, Tony was an award-winning journalist at The San Diego Union-Tribune, where he covered public safety issues for nearly four years as an investigative reporter. He also worked as an investigative reporter at The Detroit News and Florida Today. His journalism career spanned 14 years and included jobs as a reporter and editor at small weekly and daily publications. He also worked as a supervisor at Ford Motor Company and Kmart after earning a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University. He moved to San Diego in 2005 and lives in Ocean Beach.
Audit Committee Consultant/Policy Advisor
Chris Cate

Chris Cate is Kevin's Audit Committee Consultant and Policy Advisor.
Prior to joining the Second District office in 2009, Chris served as policy director for the San Diego County Taxpayers Association for three years.Prior to that, Chris worked for Jefferson Government Relations in Washington, D.C., where he assisted in developing legislation related to higher education and healthcare. Chris is a member of the Asian Business Association and has served on a number of committees throughout San Diego County.He earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of San Diego.

Matt Awbrey

Matt Awbrey is Kevin's representative and policy advisor for Midway/North Bay, Ocean Beach and Point Loma. He joined the Second District office in 2006.
A native San Diegan, Matt has worked at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., and on a number of local political campaigns. Matt also has served as an elected representative for a local non-profit organization and held volunteer management positions for several community fundraising events. He earned bachelor's degrees in International Relations and Communications from the University of California at Davis.

Thyme Curtis

Thyme Curtis is Kevin's representative and policy advisor for Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Mission Bay and Mount Soledad.
She joined the Second District office in 2007. A 14-year resident of the city of San Diego, Thyme has a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from San Diego State University. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, traveling and photography.

James Lawson

James Lawson is Kevin's representative and policy advisor for Downtown.
He joined the Second District office in 2006.
James has been a resident of the San Diego area since 2001 and is working toward completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of San Diego.

Brian Pepin

Brian Pepin is Kevin's representative and policy advisor for Mission Hills, Bankers Hill and Old Town. He also advises the Councilmember on Boards and Commissions and directs outreach programs.
Prior to joining the Second District office in 2009, Brian worked for the state legislature, the City of Chula Vista and numerous local and statewide campaigns. He also has assisted with policy analysis at the San Diego County Taxpayers Association. A native San Diegan, Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State University.

Tanya Lundy

Tanya Lundy is Kevin's office manager and scheduler.
Prior to joining the Second District office in 2007, Tanya spent more than 10 years in the public relations industry and over 20 years in the utility industry. Tanya has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Her volunteer work includes working with children and victims of domestic violence. Tanya enjoys cooking and traveling.
