Audit Committee Consultant
As consultant to the Audit Committee, Thyme oversees audit-related policy and provides logistical support to the Audit Committee. Formed as a result of a Citywide public vote and written into the City Charter, Kevin has chaired the Audit Committee since its inception in January 2007. The committee oversees the City’s auditing functions and directs performance audits to improve the effectiveness of City operations, reduce costs and waste, and increase public accountability.
Thyme also serves as Kevin’s policy advisor for homeless issues and his liaison to the San Diego Port Authority.
A 20-year resident of San Diego, Thyme is a graduate of San Diego State University and holds her bachelor's degree in public relations. Since joining Kevin’s team in 2007, Thyme has represented the beach communities, Downtown, Little Italy, and Uptown. She advised Kevin on Community Development Block Grant and Transient Occupancy Tax allocation as well as redevelopment, land use and economic development, and homelessness. Most recently she served as his policy director.
Prior to joining the Second District office, Thyme worked for various start-up companies in marketing and public relations. She enjoys hiking with her family and dogs, photography, and seeking out new adventures both near and far.
