Katherine Miles
Council Representative
Katherine Miles is Kevin’s representative and policy advisor for Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and La Jolla/Mount Soledad. She is also responsible for items relating to the budget and finance, education, arts and culture, homeless, community programs and special events, and discretionary grants from Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG).
Katherine joined the Second District in 2011. She has been a resident of the San Diego area since 2004 when she started as a freshman at University of California San Diego. At UCSD, Katherine was a Political Science major with a minor in Economics. Katherine also has a master’s degree in Education from UCLA, and taught 7th grade English and 9th grade Special Education. Katherine enjoys reading and golfing in her spare time.
