Stephen Puetz
Chief of Staff
Stephen Puetz joined Councilmember Faulconer’s office as Chief of Staff in December 2012. He oversees the day-to-day operations, constituent services, policy, media communications, office management and intergovernmental relations.
Prior to joining Councilmember Faulconer’s team, Stephen worked for a variety of elected officials at the local, state and federal levels. Most recently, he served as Vice President at a national political consulting and public affairs firm where he simultaneously managed several local and national high-profile campaigns. In 2009 he worked in Councilmember Faulconer’s office where his scope of work included community outreach, boards and commissions appointments, and public policy.
A native San Diegan, Stephen is a graduate of Cal State University San Marcos where he was actively involved in youth politics and is former chair of the California College Republicans. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance.
