  About Golden Hill
   
  Golden Hill, known for its quaint Victorian homes and amazing views of downtown and the harbor, is a diverse community with a large Latino population. Its vibrant business community boasts ethnic markets and restaurants. The community's boundaries are: Juniper Street on the north, Interstate 5 on the west, 34th street on the east, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway (Route 94) on the south. The District 3 boundary in Golden Hill is A Street.
   
  Community Groups
  Greater Golden Hill Community Development Corporation (GGHCDC)

  Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the CGGHCDC offices.
  The Greater Golden Hill Community Development Corporation works to unify and empower the neighborhood's diverse residents in efforts to preserve the unique and historic character of the community while bringing about physical improvement, cultural, educational, and economic opportunities that improve the quality of life in Golden Hill.
   
  Greater Golden Hill Planning Committee (GGHPC)
  Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm at the Balboa Golf Course Clubhouse, Golden Hill.
 

The GGHPC works to improve the quality of life in Golden Hill by ensuring that the Golden Hill of the future is concurrent with the Community Plan and Planned District Ordinance (PDO). Subcommittees and Ad-Hoc Committees and other reports include Historic, Membership and Elections, Parks, Downtown Plan, Land Use, Code Compliance, Community Planners Committee (CPC), COMPACT, East Village Homeless Advisory, and the Balboa Park Committee.

  Open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am to 4pm. The museum and educational center offers a resource library dealing with women's issues and history, several on-going exhibits and educational programs.
