Hillcrest is known for its award-winning restaurants, trendy stores, medical offices, two major hospitals, and the largest concentration of gay and lesbian-owned businesses in the City. Named one of America's great neighborhoods in 2007, Hillcrest features an array of older homes mixed in with newer, upscale apartments and condominiums. The area's merchants host the annual Cityfest street fair, and the neighborhood is home to the annual LGBT Pride celebration.
