Kensington SignBackgroundThe Kensington-Talmadge Community Association (KTCA) removed the Kensington community sign from its location above Adams Avenue last year to address significant maintenance issues. Upon inspection, the sign, which is a designated historic resource and is owned by the KTCA, proved to be in need of greater attention than originally anticipated, sparking a great deal of community interest and input. The LatestReinstalling the sign is the priority I share with the community. The Kensington-Talmadge Planning Group hosted a public forum focused on how best to proceed with reinstalling the sign. I was pleased that over 125 community members took time to share their input. What's NextI am disappointed that the sign has not yet returned to its rightful place at the entryway to Kensington and continue my efforts to find the best possible solution to hang the sign, ensure its longevity and build on the incredible community support it enjoys. The return of the community's beloved sign will help complete next year's Kensington Centennial Celebration. |
