Jamie Fox
Chief of Staff
Jamie Fox has extensive experience in City Hall and with local political campaigns. Her policy interests include public safety, environmental sustainability, the arts community and education. In addition to her work in public service, she has been a Lecturer for the Department of Rhetoric and Writing Studies at San Diego State University for over 10 years. Jamie, who was raised in Los Angeles, came to San Diego in 1988 where she obtained Bachelor's degrees in Consumer Sciences and English, and a Masters degree in Comparative Literature. Outside of work, she can be found spending time with her family, and performing improvisational comedy.
Jamie is responsible for the overall management of Councilmember Gloria's district and staff, and handles issues related to labor, police, Boards and Commissions, tourism and special projects.
