Benelia Santos-Hunter, Executive Assistant

A native San Diegan, Benelia serves as the Executive Assistant to Councilman Young. A graduate of Morse High School, Benelia attended the University of California at San Diego,
majoring in Computer Science.

Benelia has worked for the communities of District 4 while on staff with former County Supervisor Leon L. Williams. She has built a successful fundraising and marketing career for local non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society, Neighborhood House Association and Grossmont Hospital Foundation.

She is active in the community, volunteering for youth sport groups along with her husband Marty and children Pierce Benjamin and Spencer Avery.

Benelia is responsible for maintaining the Councilman’s calendar, District 4 Boards and Commissions, office management and special projects.
