Bruce Williams
Senior Policy and Community Affairs Advisor
Bruce Williams serves Councilman Anthony Young as Senior Policy and Community Affairs Advisor. A lifetime resident of Council District Four, Bruce graduated from Harley K. Knox Elementary and Samuel F.B. Morse High Schools. He has an earned bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Urban Studies and Planning from UCSD and a master's degree in Public Policy from Regent University. Prior to his appointment with Councilman Young, Bruce served as Neighborhood Ombudsman for the Coalition of Neighborhood Councils where he was liaison to community councils, worked with the child nutrition program, gang affiliated youth and seniors. Williams' experience includes serving elected officials at the city, county, state and federal levels including four years as a mayor's citywide Community Affairs Director. Bruce served as Vice Chairman of the Encanto Communities Neighborhood Planning Group and enjoys photography.
