Lee Friedman
Council Representative
Lee Friedman is Councilman Kersey's Community Representative and serves as a liaison for the communities of Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Encantada, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, and Rancho Penasquitos. Lee also advises on Police, Arts & Culture, Homelessness, and Transit & Energy issues.
Lee has called San Diego home for more than half of his life. He is a graduate of the San Diego Jewish Academy and of the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a degree in European Studies. Prior to joining the Council office, Lee co-developed and managed a non-profit program for self-sufficiency and independence, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through grant writing, and worked as a researcher on various policy issues.
