Kearny Mesa is a major industrial and commercial center occupying a central location in the City of San Diego. The community meets employment, business and retail needs for a large portion of the City. The community has three residential areas:
• Kearny Lodge, which is located East of I-805 and north of Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
• Royal Highlands, which is located east of I-805 and south of Balboa Ave.
• Stonecrest, which is located west of I-15 and south of Aero Drive.
Kearny Mesa has been identified as a community appropriate for the "City of Villages" concept of development.
Frye continues to improve District Six neighborhoods
After securing funding for the library in Kearny Mesa, Councilmember Donna Frye celebrated its grand opening on December 2, 2006.
