SUBJECT: Proposed Clairemont Village Mixed Use Project

A project has been submitted to the Development Services Department for the construction of 137 dwelling units at a height of up to 53'1" on the site of the existing Clairemont Village Shopping Center located on Clairemont Drive at the intersection of Burgener Boulevard.

I have received questions regarding the consistency of the proposed Clairemont Village Mixed Use project with the adopted Clairemont Mesa Community Plan in terms of residential use and height. Therefore, I request a written Planning Department response to the following questions:

Residential Use

1. Is the proposed development of residential units on the site consistent with the adopted Clairemont Mesa Community Plan? Please limit the response to consistency with the Community Plan and not zoning.

If the answer is yes, please reference the page number and provide specific quotes from the Community Plan to validate the answer.

Height

2. Is the proposed height of up to 53'1" consistent with the adopted Clairemont Mesa Community Plan? Again, please limit the response to consistency with the Community Plan and not zoning.

If the answer is yes, please reference the page number and provide specific quotes from the Community Plan to validate the answer.
