It has recently come to my attention that certain portions of San Diego do not currently receive curbside greenery collection services.
Waste diversion programs, such as greenery recycling, have been successful in prolonging the lives of landfills. For this program to be available only in limited areas is a disservice to future generations of San Diegans.
Many residents in the communities of District Six have contacted my office to ask for greenery collection. They are ready and willing to reduce landfill levels and help the environment.
Therefore, I respectfully request that curbside greenery collection be expanded to all applicable areas of District Six.
