Frye Cuts Ribbon on Lindbergh Park Tot-lot

San Diego, CA...Today, Councilmember Donna Frye joined neighborhood families to celebrate the re-opening of the children's play area at Lindbergh Neighborhood Park. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held to mark the official opening of the newly remodeled tot-lot.

Frye stated, "It is important that we have safe, accessible and fun outdoor play areas for our children. Lindbergh Park has served Clairemont for many years and it was time that we upgraded it to meet the needs of the neighborhood."

This long awaited upgrade was well received by the surrounding neighborhood. New play equipment was installed and the tot lot was made accessible to disabled persons. The new equipment includes a slide, large play structure, swings, and spring toys. New picnic tables and a grill were also added. In order to provide shade for picnics three 24 inch box Chinese Elm trees were planted in the area surrounding the tot lot.

"The Kearny Mesa Recreation Council was instrumental in the design and implementation of this project. The success of park projects like this is dependent upon the input of the community," Frye commented.
