The City Council strives to ensure that the City of San Diego provides accessible City services, programs, and buildings, and to maintain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Installing curb cuts at intersections is one of the most important elements to making an neighborhood accessible to those with disabilities. That is why Councilmember Frye has partnered with the San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council on their Accessible Sidewalk program in District Six. Councilmember Frye has allocated Community Development Block Grant funds to implement this program.
