Shirley is Councilmember Zapf's Volunteer Coordinator and serves as the Community Representative for Clairemont. She is the Councilmember's liaison to local nonprofits including Mission Trails Regional Park, and coordinates the numerous philanthropic partnerships to help improve District 6 communities. She is also responsible for coordinating community cleanups and strengthening Neighborhood Watch programs in District 6.
Shirley comes to Councilmember Zapf's office with over thirty years of customer service experience working for Nordstrom. A Seattle native, she moved to San Diego in 1981 to open San Diego's first Nordstrom store at their Fashion Valley location. She has lived in Clairemont for over 18 years and has become a devoted member of the community, serving on PTA boards, Neighborhood Watch groups, and volunteering for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. In her free time, Shirley volunteers for Humphreys Concerts by the Bay and is an active member of her church.
Shirley lives in Clairemont with her husband and two children.
