Allied Gardens
Allied Gardens is a residential community north of Interstate 8 off the Waring Road exit up the hill and past Zion Avenue consisting of neighborhoods surrounding the Allied Gardens Community Center & Pool, Benjamin Library, Lewis Middle School, and the Allied Gardens Albertson’s Shopping Center.
The Council Board meets the first Monday of every month, while their Town Hall meetings are the fourth Tuesday: both start at 7 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church 5106 Zion Avenue.
The Allied Gardens Recreation Council meets the first Monday at 7 p.m. of odd-numbered months at the Allied Gardens Rec Center, located at 5155 Greenbrier (619) 235-1129. The Council oversees a wide array of recreation activities.
The Greater Navajo Area Business Association is also active in Allied Gardens and meets for a business mixer breakfast at Troy’s Greek Restaurant, 10405 Friars Road at the corner of Mission Gorge and Zion at 7:30 a.m. the third Wednesday of every month.
