Grantville

The 990-acre Grantville Redevelopment Area was established by the San Diego City Council on May 3, 2005. The area is generally north of Interstate 8 and east of the Mission Gorge/Fairmont exit following Mission Gorge Road along the San Diego River east to Waring Road.

The Grantville Stakeholders Committee meets every second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Mission Valley Church of the Nazarene, 4750 Mission Gorge Place. The Project Manager for the City of San Diego is Dan Monroe, (619) 236-5529.

The Grantville Action Group is a citizens group concerned about abuse of eminent domain and proper spending of re-development money. GAG meets the first Thursday of every month 6:30 p.m. at the Grantville VFW, 4370 Twain Avenue.

Navajo Community Planners, Inc. (e-mail: navajoplanners@cox.net) is the City of San Diego Development Services Department Planning Group for Grantville and surrounding areas. The group meets at 7 p.m. the third Monday of every month at Temple Emanuel, located at College Avenue and Del Cerro Blvd.
