Chris Pearson
Community Development Manager, Council Representative & Policy Advisor
As Community Development Manager, Chris Pearson is responsible for the planning and coordination of all community service and neighborhood outreach on behalf of the Council District Seven office. He collaborates with community-based and non-profit organizations to bring essential resources and volunteers to assist with projects and events throughout the district.
Chris is proud to represent Councilmember Emerald in the communities of Rolando, Rolando Park, Redwood Village and Oak Park, and at advisory bodies including the Eastern Area Planning Committee, Crossroads Redevelopment Project Area Committee, and the Family Justice Center Steering Committee.
Chris brings a wide array of experience to Council District 7, including his prior position as Political Director for the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council AFL-CIO and an internship with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna working to administer nuclear safeguards under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, body surfing, and cinema. He is an avid fan of spectator sports, particularly football and hockey, and is acknowledged by his colleagues as a connoisseur of fine wine.
