Otay Mesa is located east of Interstate 805, south of Chula Vista off the 905 freeway leading to the Otay Mesa/Tijuana Border Crossing. Due to the creation of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, the area was developed as an industrial park. Sixteen years later, Otay Mesa has become the largest commercial land border port in California and is the busiest commercial land border crossing in the entire United States. Otay Mesa is home to Brown Field airport. Presently, Otay Mesa houses the brand new neighborhood of Ocean View Hills and with a brand new state-of-the-art K-8 school.
