Gabriel Solmer
Council Representative/Policy Advisor
Gabriel grew up in northern California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, both from the University of California, San Diego. She earned her law degree at the University of San Diego, and joined the California Bar in December, 2003. For eight years, she served as Legal Director for San Diego Coastkeeper, an environmental nonprofit focused on water quality. She also directed the Environmental Law & Policy Clinic, Coastkeeper's independent legal intern program.
Gabriel serves as Councilmember Alvarez’s Council Representative focusing on environmental and land use policy.
