Service Road Repairs at the Lake Murray Reservoir

A portion of the service road at Lake Murray Reservoir will be off limits to the public from June 8th through June 18th for repairs. The heavy rains in January undermined the ground beneath the service road which caused a major sinkhole. Temporary repairs were completed and now the permanent repairs are scheduled. The public will still be able to circle the reservoir by following the detour that will be created, and it is accessible enough for moms with strollers. The detour, which will be clearly marked, will take pedestrians and bikers on a trail north and east of the service road and it will cross a small part of the golf course.

Financial hardship has become a reality for many San Diegans trying to support their families during this recession. My office is pleased to support the Put Pride Aside Campaign in San Diego which is a partnership of several organizations all working together to help those in need. There are multiple programs available providing assistance with things such as groceries, utility bills, healthcare, insurance and other necessities. However, many people are not aware of these programs. It is important our families receive the help they need during these tough times, and team 7 is determined to ensure easy access to assistance.
