26th Annual Night Out Against Crime
The 26th Annual Night Out Against Crime was celebrated in a big way at the Salvation Army/Ray and Joan Kroc Center in Rolando on Tuesday, August 4th. In her welcoming remarks, Marti Emerald praised the hard work of the many volunteers who made the evening possible. And she congratulated all those who attended this crime and drug prevention program.
San Diego's top crime fighters, San Diego Police Chief William Landsdown, San Diego Sheriff William Gore, and McGruff, the Crime Dog were among the guests. Several of the Kroc Center dance classes performed for the crowd and there were games for the youngsters.
Marti urged the audience to keep the spirit of Night Out Against Crime going all year long.
