More than 1500 pounds of healthy, non-perishable food items were collected during twelve days to benefit the San Diego Food Bank's "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom from Hunger Drive". At the Laurel's for Leaders ceremony on February 16, 2010, Crawford High School's Associated Student Body was awarded a check for $1,500 to commend them for their success and dedication to collecting the most food of a high school in San Diego County. Cash sponsors for the food drive included U.S. Bank, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of San Diego, San Diego Kiwanis Club, Laurels for Leaders, and the Metropolitan Transit System.

In addition, Crawford's School of Law and Business received a donation of $1,000 from an anonymous school supporter as a scholarship to be awarded to ten outstanding students, each receiving $100. Congratulations to everyone at Crawford High for your exemplary community service!!!
