Marisa Berumen
Deputy Chief of Staff
Marisa Berumen serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Councilmember Emerald. She handles media inquiries and communications for Councilmember Emerald as well as Community Projects, Programs & Services (CPPS) and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) funding.
In addition, she handles policy issues related to the Port Commission, Regional Airport Authority, Civic San Diego, San Diego Convention Center, and the Rules and Economic Development Committee. Marisa also serves as the Field Representative for the City Heights communities of Azalea Park, Castle, Cherokee Point, Fairmount Park and Hollywood Park.
A native San Diegan, Marisa is a graduate of SDSU with a degree in political science.
