Chris Pearson
Council Representative
Chris Pearson is responsible for the planning and coordination of all community service and neighborhood outreach on behalf of the Council District Nine office. He collaborates with community-based and non-profit organizations to bring essential resources and volunteers to assist with projects and events throughout the district.
Chris is proud to represent Councilmember Emerald in the communities of Alvarado Estates, Colina Park, College View Estates, Corridor, Kensington, Rolando, Talmadge, Teralta East and Teralta West, He also represents Councilmember Emerald at the Ken-Tal and Eastern Areas Planning Committees; and at the Adams Ave., College, and the Boulevard Business Improvement Associations.
Chris brings a wide array of experience to Council District Nine, including his prior position as Political Director for the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council AFL-CIO, working as a lobbyist in Olympia, WA, Albany, NY, and Washington DC; experience as a small business owner; and a summer internship with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna working to administer nuclear safeguards under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, body surfing, and cinema. He is an avid fan of spectator sports, particularly football and hockey, and is acknowledged by his colleagues as a connoisseur of fine wine.
