Chief Policy Advisor
As Policy Advisor, Tim Taylor is privileged to work in the following policy areas: City Budget, Economic Development, Housing, Land Use, Environment, Libraries, Outsourcing, Water, Stormwater, Wastewater, and Trash/Landfills. Tim also assists Councilmember Emerald in her duties on the SANDAG Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as well as the City's Rules and Economic Development Committee and Natural Resources and Culture Committee.
Tim's background includes extensive professional experience in land use, having previously served the public as a City Planner for the Cities of Escondido, Poway, and Santee, as well as the County of San Diego. Tim brings that experience to Team Emerald and the policy areas he covers.
Tim is a long time San Diego resident. He is an avid fan of the San Diego Padres and, in his spare time, enjoys traveling, hiking and sailing, as well as a good game of backgammon. A proud Aztec, Tim graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and a Master's Degree in City Planning.
