The Office of Protocol strives to maintain an active relationship with all the community groups established in the City of San Diego.
Through our participation and representation at most international organizations' meetings and events, we do our best to serve the needs of both the international community and residents in the City of San Diego.
The Office of Protocol works closely with the City of San Diego's International Affairs Board and supports Mayor Sanders' VISION Program.
City of San Diego International Affairs Board
The duties of the International Affairs Board are to foster and promote friendly relations and better understanding between peoples and communities of the United States of America and the peoples and community of foreign nations; further economic cooperation and cultural interchange; develop, compile and exchange information; plan, develop and carry out mutual economic and cultural activities. The Board renders an annual report of its work to the Mayor.
