Cardiac Science, Inc.

The City of San Diego has entered into its fourth Marketing Partnership Agreement. The partnership with Cardiac Science, Inc. is an innovative step toward making San Diego a "heart safe region" and has an estimated fiscal impact of $175,000 to $600,000.

Highlights of the Cardiac Science partnership include improving the survivability of sudden cardiac arrest victims in San Diego by placing Cardiac Science AED's in public facilities; training and operational support of the Public Access Defibrillator Program provided by San Diego Emergency Medical Services Enterprise; funding for the program provided through an annual marketing rights fee and incremental fee based on the sale of Cardiac Science AED's in San Diego County; Cardiac Science designated and referred to as the "Official AED Partner" of the City of San Diego; Cardiac Science named on all promotional materials used in connection with the branding of the PAD program; and Cardiac Science granted the right to participate in up to three City hosted health and safety events per year.
