Job Fair Helps Put Tomorrow’s Leaders to Work Today SAN DIEGO – More than 90 of the region’s premiere businesses will showcase hundreds of immediate job openings to San Diego’s workforce at the Students Are Valuable Employees/Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City, Enterprise Zone, South Bay (S.A.V.E./C.I.N.E.S.) Job Fair 2002. The event, the largest of its kind in the county, will be held Thursday, May 16, from The City of With more than 4,000 attendees at last year’s job fair, this year’s event is expected to attract numerous job seekers and businesses. A wide variety of positions will be offered, including entry-level jobs requiring little to no field experience. Participating employers will include businesses such as 24 Hour Fitness, College of Advanced Information Technology, Hyatt Hotels of San Diego, NurseFinders, SeaWorld, Sutherland Group Ltd., Time Warner Cable, U.S. Border Patrol, University of San Diego, SBC Pacific Bell, San Diego Transit Corporation, the City of San Diego and Wendy’s. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in three workshops, which will enable both job seekers and business owners/managers to become more successful in their careers.
