City of San Diego Invests $250,000 in Local Technology Company
City’s San Diego Technology Fund Provides Working Capital to Case Revolution Inc

SAN DIEGO –As venture capital equity remains elusive for most smaller startup companies nationally, local entrepreneurs are finding a more supportive environment through public/private partnerships spearheaded by the City of San Diego.  Utilizing the unique partnering opportunities offered by the City, local technology startup Case Revolution today celebrated the closing of its $250,000 loan with the City of San Diego.

Case Revolution received support from the San Diego Technology Fund, a public revolving loan fund managed by the City’s Community & Economic Development Department that participates alongside outside private equity investors to provide pre‑venture capital stage growth capital to promising San Diego County entrepreneurs.   The City provided $250,000 in funding to the company and served as a catalyst to secure matching private equity investments.

“Case Revolution is the newest success story in our growing San Diego Technology Fund portfolio” said Hank Cunningham, director of the City’s Community and Economic Development Department.  “We are excited to be able to provide additional funding to aspiring entrepreneurs to allow them the opportunity to develop their great ideas and create jobs that benefit the local economy.”

Case Revolution Inc., located in San Diego, was founded in 2002 by Steve Pratt, a leading litigation attorney who saw the need for a better way to manage insurance claims and cases.   He envisioned a secure, easy-to-use online environment where insurance adjusters, lawyers, and vendors could exchange information, document events, and keep track of deadlines.   Case Revolution is an Internet-based application for tracking and managing insurance claims and litigation.   It is a powerful workflow system to ensure compliance of insurer-specific protocols for both insurers and their legal representatives.

“The funding we received from the San Diego Technology Fund and angel investors has provided us the capital we need to launch our CaseRev™ software application,” said Steve Pratt, Chief Executive Officer of Case Revolution Inc.  “The funds will allow us to market our products and continue to grow our company.
